The price of gold is currently recovering

8. Juli 2026

According to the latest assessment by the World Gold Council, the gold price is expected to remain relatively stable for the rest of the year.

The World Gold Council, a recognized authority, views the outlook for the gold price in 2026 as neither particularly positive nor particularly negative. The key factors will be developments in monetary policy, inflation, and geopolitical risks. The latest economic data from the U.S. showed weak labor market figures and slowing momentum in the manufacturing sector. This has dampened expectations of an imminent tightening of monetary policy by the Federal Reserve. The price of gold is likely to move sideways.

At least if growth remains moderate, inflation eases somewhat, and central banks implement only minor monetary tightening. Should the price of gold fall further, increased buying is expected. History shows that sharp price pullbacks are often viewed as buying opportunities by institutional and retail investors alike, as well as by central banks, prompting them to buy.

However, what could drive the price of gold higher would be escalating geopolitical tensions or a slowdown in growth. Currently, the price of gold has edged up again, driven by a less-than-positive jobs report. The figures fell far short of expectations. In addition, the U.S. dollar and real yields declined. This once again had a positive effect on the price of gold.

In any case, the World Gold Council believes that, in a bull market scenario, the price of gold could rise to $4,500 per ounce. And if several positive factors come into play, then $5,000 per ounce would also be possible again.

Axo Metals (formerly Axo Copper) - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/axo-metals-corp/ - recently acquired Sapuchi Minera and, with it, the advanced San Antonio gold project in Mexico. The results from the first 21 drill holes show high grades, which were already evident at the surface. In addition, Axo Metals owns the La Huerta copper project in Mexico. It covers approximately 11,300 hectares and is a new copper discovery in the promising Sierra Madre Belt.

Amex Gold Mining (formerly Amex Exploration) - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/amex-exploration-inc/ - is among the notable young gold companies. The focus is on profitable gold projects in mining-friendly Quebec. Amex Exploration’s Perron gold project, in particular, hosts large, high-grade gold deposits. It is 100 percent owned by the company and stands out for its excellent infrastructure and a positive feasibility study. Ore processing is scheduled to begin in 2027. A large-scale pilot plant is currently under development.
