Nuclear energy provides electricity - uranium is needed

1. April 2025

Large companies have now joined forces in Houston with the aim of increasing global nuclear energy capacity.

Leading representatives of major technology companies from Amazon, Google, Meta and Dow and others want to support a tripling (at least) of global nuclear power by 2050. This meeting took place at CERAWeek 2025, a major energy conference. This coalition is the first to bring together major corporations outside the nuclear sector to push for the expansion of nuclear energy. The reason for this is obvious: the electricity requirements of these companies are gigantic and will grow worldwide. The energy should be clean, reliable, safe and plentiful. Siemens Energy is also one of those involved, and further supporters from the aviation and shipping industries, the oil and gas industry and the chemical sector are still to be recruited.

The technology companies' data centers are necessary for digital processes, cloud services and the AI sector to function. Huge amounts of data have to be stored and processed, and cooling systems and infrastructure also consume electricity. In order for this to succeed with the self-imposed sustainability targets, the expansion of nuclear energy is a concern for the industry. In the USA, there is also a new call for tenders for grants for small modular reactor projects. According to the original announcement, this would better serve President Donald Trump's agenda to unleash American energy and achieve dominance in the field of artificial intelligence. This development and the increasing global demand for electricity will make nuclear energy more popular and increase the demand for uranium. Good future prospects for companies such as Premier American Uranium or Uranium Energy.

Uranium Energy - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/uranium-energy-corp/ - is the largest licensed uranium producer in the USA and is debt-free. The ISR uranium projects are located in the USA, with additional projects in Canada.

Premier American Uranium - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/premier-american-uranium-inc/ - owns uranium properties in excellent uranium regions such as Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico.
